Biography
For nearly two decades, Valerie Goddard has been a vibrant influence in the development of program services to children and families within a global and multi-cultural framework. Audiences both home and abroad appreciate her unique blend of expertise and passion. People who meet Valerie are drawn to her enthusiasm and her sincere compassion and commitment to maximizing each individual’s potential.

Corporations appreciate in her the solid reputation for developing partnerships in order to increase the availability and accessibility of child care and pre-kindergarten services to working parents. Her passion is to continue developing partnerships with the faith based, for profit and non-profit sectors that will mobilize resources and maximize revenue to ensure that all children, especially those most in need, receive the educational foundation necessary to ensure lifelong success.
Valerie is the CEO of Child Care Solutions Unlimited, Inc., the past vice president of the National Association of Child Care Professionals, a gubernatorial appointee and current Chairman of the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County. For twelve years she served as the executive director of Helping Hand Day Nursery, Inc., a United Way agency, and also served as the Deputy Director of Child Development for the Department of Defense. She travels extensively in the United States and abroad serving as keynote speaker, trainer and workshop facilitator on prevalent early care & education issues, community development, public and private partnerships, and innovative funding strategies.
In addition to her work with elementary-aged students through her program “Connect 4 Success”, Valerie also works to ensure a child’s future by helping their parents be the best that they can be. To help achieve this goal, Valerie has now expanded the scope of her services to include providing educational, employability, and life skills programming in addition to faith-based support to incarcerated men.
Valerie has served as past-president of the Hillsborough Early Childhood Association, Chairperson of the Pre-K Interagency Council and trainer for the Child Development Associate Credential program. Additionally, Valerie has consulted with various governmental agencies, corporations, real estate developers, faith based organizations, and other community agencies to develop partnerships in order to increase the availability and accessibility of child care and pre-kindergarten services to working parents.

Born into a career military family in Springfield, Massachusetts. Her family traveled extensively and lived in various locations throughout the United States and abroad.
The life lived abroad has helped to develop a love of people and an expanded appreciation for the richness of diversity.
